ColorFall

  • 2 week solo class project + time outside of class to expand

  • Made with Processing and Python

  • Developed collision detection

  • Developed drop spawning system

  • Developed analysis of image to determine percentage of screen painted after time is used

  • Created frames for splashing animation and wrote code to play them as an animation

  • Implemented menu system

For this assignment, I was able to take inspiration from my initial idea for Hydrochrome and bring it to life.  In this game, the player still tries to fill the screen with color, but they do so within a certain time limit instead of making turn based moves.  The player is also able to use arrow keys to control the wind and move raindrops to their advantage.
